Thank you KBM. I see that you put a lot of work into the configuration overview. I hope its ok that I ask some questions.

  1. Do you have a table with the calculation formula? Or did you copy the values from the xcoptercalc tool?
  2. Can you specify Power Plant Weight?
  3. What is “Voltage ?” in row 11?
  4. The “Remaining Payload” values and some of the components suggest that maybe you did the calculation for a drone larger than 25 kg (55lbs). The remaining payload for the configurations is around 20kg. But for a max 25 kg drone it should be more around 10 kg payload. Propeller size and motors also appear to be oversize. Can you clearify what your approach was? Maybe there was some miscommunication.
  1. I just exported the results from eCalc, actually I’m not so familiar with it. I usually use another software before, and it’s not that powerful, but it have the formula table…

  2. Battery + All ESCs + All Motors (But propellers, structural, avionics items are not included)

  3. According to eCalc’s manual, that ‘Voltage’ should be the battery pack voltage under expected max discharge current or max throttle condition, But I think there’s possibly some over-discharge in some configuration.

  4. I was calculated them for around 50% hovering throttle for 25KG total weight condition. As Zeynep says, we should have remaining thrust for every maneuvers while fully loaded, also there maybe somebody overload them by more than 25Kg MTOW. Those design should make it survive.

Thank for those important questions to me!

Thank you for the clarification

About 4) I still think some components are a little bit too much. Like everything over 34" propeller. Or for example Quad_1 and Quad_2 have the Herlea H140 motor which is advertised as max. 47.5 kg thrust. My feeling is thats a little bit much for a supposed to be 25kg drone.
