Tipping Protocol for Increased Community Engagement

Hey Sharp shooters (arrow) ,

We’ve developed a tipping protocol that helps boost community engagement by rewarding valuable contributors. (With points, crypto or reputation) - on-chain

We want to gauge interest by first seeing where it would be most useful for DAOs.

I have two questions:

  1. Would you be interested in enabling users to tip each other here on discourse? (The idea being to increase engagement of native members)
  2. Would you be interested in increasing engagement for your tweets? (By rewarding users who like/ retweet or comment on your tweets)

This will help us know what’s most interesting to you. The protocol is ready and I’m happy to share links if there is interest in taking a look.

Hey! We currently use Coordinape for tipping but have had retention issues on that platform. I would be interested in hearing more about your protocol!

I think tipping for engagement on Discourse would be neat but I think it would have more function on our Discord instead. Would be a nice way to capture the attention of new people joining our server and contribute to conversations.
I am not as interested in Twitter because I am afraid we would get swarmed by bots just farming tokens or something.

Thanks @errrks.eth for the feedback. I guess we hadn’t thought about discord and were focusing more on forums and on Twitter. I’m going to try and think how it could be implemented on discord.

In the interim, I created a short video here to let you know what we are currently about.

TLDR:

  1. Users can tip good content
  2. Our protocol gives additional rewards to to authors and finders of good content
  3. This works on Twitter and also here
  4. There is a risk free way of trying it : - )

I appreciate the feedback again, and will look more into discord!
