Battery: TATTU 4.0 HV 53.2V 14S 20000mAh 25C
Positive:
- fast swappable
- can be turned on and off (mosfets disconnect the main power when off, we dont need an extra contactor)
- weight is in our range (7.9 kg)
- 14S (higher battery voltage, so voltage drop will be lower, also works with the hobbywing X6)
- battery data over dronecan
- bigger version with 30ah is available
Negativ:
- More expensive than normal lipo packs
- Might need to ship from china, because might not be in store in the US
- needs a more thoughtful design for inserting the battery
Another option: Tattu Pro 14S Lipo 22000mAh
- no power disconnect inside the battery
- power connection with cable
- can transmit battery data over dronecan
- 7.2 kg
- Max. 150A (100A continues)

Regarding the folding arm mechanism there are 3 main options:
- Folding down like an umbrella
- Folding horizontal with the adapter mounted at the center body
- Folding horizontal with the adapter in the middle of the tube
We previously looked at this webiste: Folding arm connectors. They have all the options, but i want to mention that there are possible cheaper parts found at other merchants. I bought for example this folding adapter for $20 from this shop: 30 40mm Folding Arm Tube Drone Mechanism For Plant Protection Uav Multicopter - Buy Folding Arm Tube Product on Alibaba.com while on rjxhobby its $80: RJXHOBBY 1pcs 30 / 40mm folding side arm for Plant Protection UAV Multicopter. So maybe we can decide on one concept an then do a quick research for a good price.

Since we’ll have a bunch of ground clearance for the attachments, I think it’ll be better to follow the first option here. I liked the alibaba one you sent but the lead time is 10 days, when did they send yours?

They send it after two days with Fedex. Also the shipping cost will be lower when contacted directly. If we go with the first option, do you think we can redesign this enclosure to have a foot print that fits in those layers? Unsure where we will place the contactor but we can make connections to it with cables and ring terminals.
